James K. Creasy (Jim), graduated from The Citadel in 1991with academic and cadet honors, and, the University of Georgia School of Law in 1994. There, he focused his education and energy on litigation and trial practice. He won several interschool competitions as well as State-Wide competitions.
Following graduation from Law School, Jim began his career in Savannah, GA before moving to Atlanta, GA in 1996. Jim trained as an Insurance Defense attorney before opening a small Plaintiffs law firm in 2002. In 2006, Jim and Lucian Gillis join forces to form Gillis & Creasy, LLC and were partners until Mr. Gillis’ retirement in 2022. Jim has reopened his practice with a goal of dedicated, personalized service.
Since 2004, Jim has been Peer-Review Rated as "AV" by Martindale Hubble (the highest rating obtainable). During his career, Jim has tried approximately 40 cases to Jury Verdict as First Chair, and resolved several hundred by negotiated settlement.
Jim is not a Billboard Lawyer. He believes in giving each of his clients personalized service, advocating for their rights and giving them a voice in their case.
In his personal life, Jim has been married to his wife for 30 years and has 3 adult children. His hobbies include smoking "the best" BBQ in GA, playing guitar, British sports cars, following Braves baseball (with the help of his high school buddy), and following UGA Football
